Typography Schools

I have recently discovered these three great typography courses for post graduates and type lovers. It would be brilliant to go after university but I don't think I will be able to afford it at those prices. Possibly the London School at a pinch, check out the websites for more info.

Effektive CV/Poster Mailer

I discovered behance a few weeks ago and found this mailer from Greig Anderson which I felt deserved a mention. A well put together pack featuring a range of his work photographed a presented in a two colour print on two stocks. Also featuring a CV and links to his website this mailer is beatifully composed and includes a large amount of info without even going near a computer. Looks like offset litho to me which means there must have been a large number of these produced.

Website Research

Below are a few innovative websites which I have discovered in the past few weeks. www.frank.it has an interesting navigation system. Boone & Oakley has utilised the popular medium of youtube for their website through a series of linked videos. And lastly the websites at the bottom are all created in indexhibit. I have been having a look at what is possible and I have screen shotted these for their use of type and layout through customising their indexhibit sites.

Ivan Khmelevsky's Self Promotion

The Behance suggestion of the day is this self promotion work from Ivan Khmelevsky. I have no idea who he is but I really liked his use of materials and the application of his logo through the use of the red string on the usb stick. This is a really great self promotion pack but I want to try something simple that conveys sustainability and ethics through the design process and identity.
